ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I’m trying to expand my business into the Boulder, CO market, so I’m setting up a few portfolio sessions–this one will be a stylized wedding around an outdoors/boho theme.

I will provide a veil & dress for our “bride” — model will need to provide own undergarments (strapless bra, for example). Our “groom” should come with a pair of black dress pants and a white button-down shirt and a suit jacket, if available; one can be obtained if not. Tie & other details for “groom” will be provided.

We’ll start with hair and make-up in my home studio, then do some interior formal portraits before moving on to a few locations on the mesa, in Downtown Boulder, maybe up to Chatauqua .

WHAT TO BRING:

—strapless bra and appropriate undergarments
—high heels in nude/skin-tone, white, cream, gold, or blue (if you don’t have heels in these colors, flats or dressy sandals will be fine)
—your own foundation; I’ve not worked with the MUA before. Some will have a rainbow of foundations, others (in my experience) have a limited selection. You know your own skintone best, so I always recommend bringing your own foundation just in case
—any jewelry or accessories you think would work with this photo session.

HOW I RUN MY SHOOTS:

Call time for models is 12PM; we’ll start with hair and make-up on a first come, first served basis. I don’t stagger my call times for hair and make-up when doing an open casting call like this because sometimes things happen (traffic, emergencies, etc.) and not everyone is on-time. Also, by having three models show at the same time, one can do make-up, one can be in hair, and one can be getting dressed or doing a light test with me, so it tends to minimize downtime for everyone involved.

There will be water and light snacks available if you have to wait between stations. After hair, make-up, and water, we’ll shoot portraits with studio lighting using various props (mini-cake, jewelry, guestbook, etc.) and do some beauty shots as well. If the model needs to leave after that and cannot stay, that’s perfectly fine. Models who can and choose to stay till everyone has completed make-up, hair, and portraits will carpool with me to the Davidson Mesa in Louisville for some outdoor portraits and hopefully, with weather and time permitting, we’ll carpool down to the courthouse in Boulder and do some portraits there and in other locations around Downtown Boulder.
